so, i hear beckham's off to real madrid.

*packs suitcase, grabs passport and 'how to speak spanish' book*

...order of the what to the who now?

actually, i'm avoiding all talk of this book. (after i'm done talking now, i will be avoiding all talk of this book.) i want to hear no spoilers. come midnight, i will be flicking frantically through the pages to find out who died, and upon learning it's not ron, all will be well. (that wasn't a spoiler, just a testament to my overpowering belief in positive thinking.) adios, amigos!

is adam duritz contractually obliged to segue everything into 'a long december' or 'goodnight elizabeth'? or is it just that they're the only ones he knows how to play live? answers on a postcard.

my prediction for harry potter 5: hagrid, you are the weakest link. i like him (yes, i like the hairy scottish giant; this in no way indicates my preference for any particular type of man) but he is the only character who can feasibly die and not really affect the plot all that much. of course, i could be wrong. jo, sweetie, a word. if you kill ron, i will... not mind much. [erects 'home for retired actors' in her front room] rupert, darling! come in, come in!

speaking of perverts (were we? oh) they caught the guy who tried to entice miranda into his van. poor guy. he deserved a reward for getting anywhere with miranda. god knows nobody else does. maybe she was attracted to his seamy underground connections. in any case she doesn't seem remotely bothered about it, though of course my mum is threatening to implant microchips under our skin so she can track our whereabouts at all times. miranda, you should have got in the van. at least you would have been safe from your mother.

other than that, nothing at all has been happening. i'm prepared for rach's graduation tomorrow (remove film from mom's camera: check) in the sense that i'm going to go to bed at 2am after watching the entire buffy:season four dvd and turn up really late tomorrow in honour of the spirit of the occasion. so, yep, i'm doing the family proud.
